If they can get negotiations round (the) table he might be ours
January transfer window

Would be good to have a little more magic in the middle, rather than it being All Dwight on the night.

I doubt we'd even need that much.Gary1878 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 8:50 pm Everything Moyes is saying in his press conferences leads us to believe we will have quite a war chest in the summer to revamp the side. Therefore, I just don’t see why we would now do anything in terms of permanent deals in January.
For me, we need backups to that first team in case they get injured over the next 15 games. But realistically we only need another 10 points to survive, and surely should be able to cobble together that even if we have a disastrous run of form.
Very relaxed thanks to Moyesy.
Maybe one of the bottom clubs could go on a run, but right now I'd be surprised looking at their remaining fixtures if Leicester for example even got to 30 pts.
It's nice to be a bit more relaxed with signings, but it's also good to spread things out a bit with the finances, so if there was a reasonable deal to be made I think it'd still make sense to add to the squad.

We'll be safe as houses by the end of March.

Re: January transfer window
I just can't see wolves bettering 3 results on us or Ipswich *and* Wolves bettering 4 results.
We're not gonna power up the league, and April will be grim. But that's put an end to all but a mathematical worry.
As such, I only want long term deals or "try before you buy" players coming in now.
From what I've seen, this Röhl is a successor to Gana isn't he? That kind of deal is better willing to push the boat out for if it means we steal a march on the clubs waiting till July to snap him up

His wife, little miss muffet sat on his Truffert.
Dunno, there's something there along those lines anyway.
This guy and that Rohl fella maybe but I'd love us to get an option out wide.

Who Scored (who?) say he has no significant strengths, is weak in the tackle, and that he’s played as a dm more than he’s played as a lb.
Sounds about right then.

Well that sounds awful. A defender who can't tackle and isn't good at anythingsam of the south wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2025 1:27 pm Who Scored (who?) say he has no significant strengths, is weak in the tackle, and that he’s played as a dm more than he’s played as a lb.

Transfermarkt has him down as having played no games at DM at all, just a left back who had a small number of games on the left wing too.
Seems pretty raw still at 23, not the finished article of course, sounds like the opposite of Myko, better going forward than defending.
Still need an alternative to Myko in the summer so loan with a buy option would make sense as we get to see if he's any good or not first.

But who knows.

Joe Thomas, Echo:
The club is not currently thought to be pursuing Rennes left back Adrien Truffert, one of many players linked with the Blues as Monday’s transfer deadline approaches. While there are long term ambitions to provide cover and competition in that area, the belief is that unless the market offers an opportunity deemed too good to miss out on, the priority is to seek out targets further up the pitch.
