Ground perhaps not well and truly trod then!

Look forward to revisiting this every time he has another 10/10 performance and scores another tremendous post.

Ah so he’s crap cause he didn’t score in his first half hour of football with us. Got it.

No lol but I'm also not going to buzz off him for...not scoring a free kick.

I've explained what I thought of his performance, if you're looking for exaggerations you need to look closer to home. And at Shogs, he's going for it.

I think he had a decent debut. Looked promising. Looked like he wanted to make things happen. Nearly scored.
You said he was crap.
Who’s exaggerating?

Toddacelli wrote: Tue Feb 11, 2025 7:07 pm In fairness to Brap - I experienced the same thing. I missed the game, heard the hype, looked forward to it and yes - there was good stuff, but I was also a bit underwhelmed. There was stuff in there I thought we’d get punished for if it’s happening on the regular.

But that’s it. Mixed bag. Some will focus on the best, some the worst, and some will have different opinions.

At the end of the day, we all want him to be great, and there’s a chance he might be. But that was a mixed bag.
I watched the game and had a similar take, lots of promise but a bit raw in some ways, and he had a few moments that made him look a bit clumsy.

I think just let people be excited about a young, talented footballer.

Like ndyaie. Great player to watch, why not just sit back and enjoy him.

Might be a bit of a difference between those who watched and those purely watching a short highlights clip... Might be the same moments are judged differently depending on the context they were viewed in

I wish I was experienced enough to judge a player from a 2 minute twitter clip…..footballing genius….why aren’t they scouts, coaches or managers I wonder…or even pundits on sky……they’re great at telling us what players should of done after the event……ffs……

Don't think I have, have I? 🤣

I thought he looked crap.

Listen nevermind, honestly, it's not even an opinion I hold that deeply. I watched the highlights and I thought, oh actually he looks crap here he won't be playing much.

Nevermind, it's fine!

Too late, you can't take it back now, you will forever be reminded of this moment every time he does something good.

Moyes thought he did enough to be starting matches anyway.

Think people have gone in a bit hard like tbh... You watched a highlights clip, didn't think he looked good, it's not a big deal, can't understand the furore.

It's a new signing, just nice to see someone different tbh, even if he ends up being shite it's something different to the usual shite

This is exactly it for me.

I get that people all watch footy for different reasons but I watch it to get excited by players running at the opposition, tricks and passion (N'diaye, richy and hopefully Alcaraz)

In general we aren't winning the league or trophies so I want to enjoy what I can.

He made me stand up numerous times and got the heart going so all good for me!!
