James Garner
Re: James Garner
Yeah been impressed with him since he came back, probably did a disservice judging him during Dyche-ball.
Re: James Garner
Literally are crap though aren't we, that's why.
I loved Richarlison, loved Lukaku, loved stones, gerri, Digne, Gana, DCL, yerry, Iwobi, Coleman ten years ago like.
Buy some good players and do well and I will enjoy them, but I'm not going to say very average workmanlike players like James Garner or McNeil are anything other than what they are. Average players who can do a job.
Re: James Garner
Well calling them average players is at least an upgrade on crap players.brap2 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 10:52 am Literally are crap though aren't we, that's why.

Even the most successful sides have a water carrier or two in the squad, a player who isn't exceptional, but can slot in anywhere and do a job. Never underestimate the value of a steady plodder. Let's not forget that Howard Kendall signed Alan Harper 3 times. He was never an exceptional talent, but you could slot him in anywhere and he'd do a solid, if unspectacular job. Nothing fancy, just solid and reliable.brap2 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 10:52 am Literally are crap though aren't we, that's why.

Re: James Garner
Absolutely agree and I'm very happy to have him around the place for years to come on 25-30k, putting in the work and occasionally rising to the occasion.74Blue wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 11:35 pm Even the most successful sides have a water carrier or two in the squad, a player who isn't exceptional, but can slot in anywhere and do a job. Re: James Garner
But he's more than just that though isn't he. Not a superstar, but in a better performing team he'll improve more than the team average improves. He just needs others with some ability to enhance his.
