A young player who messed up in a big moment. Not the first and won’t be the last. We shouldn’t get on his back tho, we’ve seen enough over the past two years to know that players thrive when supported, not rounded on. Bad moment for him, but we move on.

Just saving us from being pumped 6-0 by Liverpool under 18s in the semis, it’s all about the bigger picture

When you do what he did he set himself up for a hiding to nothing.
It was fucking woeful, and he deserves every bit of dogs abuse coming his way.
Yeah, giving a young player dogs abuse always helps.

Look it's just a bad decision from him. He's been fantastic this season so let continue to get behind him at the game and on special media.

None of the dogs abuse antics like has been mentioned.

Because penalties are always about mentality rather than ability. I think he put his hand up to be strong, but then felt nervous when confronted with the reality, and then overcompensated trying to do something ice cool, rather than focusing on technique. Will help him long term he’s a smart guy

He will live and learn from it. Although it is gutting and upsetting, these things happen in penalty shootouts. Players make silly decisions at the split second, which creates mistakes.

Don’t blame anyone for it. Penalty shootouts are cruel at the best of times and just stepping up to take one takes courage. Especially in a big game at home with the crowd all starring at you.

All part of his development. Onwards and upwards

We're never going to move on while we keep letting opportunities like last night go.

We’ve already moved on, it’s in the past, bring on Spurs.

You're just describing the passing of time. That's not progress.

I just don’t see any point in dwelling on the past, it’s happened, we learn from it and move on.
