It’s simple with dcl put quality in the full back wing or the 10 to find him in the box and he will score goals flog him to death chasing long balls isolated up top and he won’t

I like DCL and most of what he does but top level goal scorer he ain’t
Irrespective of service, tactics or anything else - He’s third in the list of most big chances missed this season.

He had a 12 game purple patch 4 years ago. It's quite simple. Dominic Calvert Lewin is not, and never will be prolific. He will never be a 20 goal.a.season striker whilst he has a hole in his arse. He's most definitely not indispensable.

Stats dont always show context thought do they, If we are pelting shite balls at him all game and he only gets one decent chance and misses, is it his fault.
Great players out perform XG i know that but i think getting one decent chance a game and missing it doesn't mean shite for me. If we are creating 4 or 5 and he misses, i would 100% agree

Whole bunch of top scorers on that list of missed big chances.
The forwards who score the most are the ones who have the most reliable sources of opportunities. They’re more wasteful than what you see in highlights or match recaps, they just have the luxury of being able to bag another after they waste one.

True they don’t show context - but in the season he scored the most goals, when he had players providing better service - he missed 17 big chances.
He brings a lot to the team but he’s simply not a prolific finisher.

With his age and injury record I wouldn’t be giving him a new contract but I think he is much better than what we are seeing in this set up

Before anyone says anything, the signing of Godfrey invalidates the notion of Atlanta only signing good players

Think he will score a good amount of goals there, enjoy the service and the style of football. He deserves after Dyche ball has destroyed him.

Highly likely he will be playing Champions League next season if he goes there, what a difference a transfer can make !

Not used him to the best of his ability maybe…Destroyed him is a bit much - it could be argued Dyche rescued his career after all his injury woes by making sure he was fully fit before playing him.

I agree on the fitness front but the next time you watch Everton, just spend 10 minutes looking at how DCL has to play. It’s demoralising. This must effect confidence and without that, you ain’t got much as a striker

Listening to the Holy Trinity Pod and there's a fella saying DCL doesn't look interested he's not making runs, whereas Beto looks like he wants to play and that's all we want at Everton.
I forget there's people out there who think like this tbh. All he's fucking doing is making runs for god's sake.
Fella in front of me at city was the same. Smirking at how Broja had ran more than DCL had all day heh heh heh. One of them who was shouting put keano on up front heh heh heh he'll score a hat trick heh heh heh.
