There was an article on ESPN about all of the VAR errors over the past few seasons and how it affected points and position and from that analysis it would seem it’s actually improving year by year.

The thing that wasn’t measured were all the instances where there was an error or infraction that simply didn’t get reviewed by VAR. To me that’s the biggest reason to scrap it. The unbalanced use of it is the most glaring fault.

Interesting considering Postecoglou isn't a fan of VAR personally. Anyway, speaks volumes that all the 'top' clubs are going to want to keep it. Will actually be interesting to see how many sides vote for VAR to be scrapped.

Who would have thought them clubs would want to keep it after being on the wrong end of so many calls eh.

Not surprising tbh, clubs will believe VAR is better than not having it if it can develop and improve.

The genie is out of the bottle and you can't put it back in now. The idea of VAR itself is fine, it's just the implementation has been terrible, so they'll be pushing for improvements rather than removing it.

Wolves deffo feeling like the kid at school who got dared and egged on to do something, only to find everyone turns and legs it leaving them on their own to face the consequences.

Yeah, I just don't think I'll ever be able to get behind VAR. Even if the referees improve and/or they speed up the process, you'll never be able to fully go mental for a late goal if it looks remotely tight/contentious because you know within a couple of minutes that it might not count. That just kills football imo.

I don't like it but also feel the standard of officiating is so poor at the moment that removing it would create more problems than it solves.

Unfortunately the longer VAR is around the worse officials will get imo so don't see a day it disappears.

As i've said on other threads, it's sucked the joy and soul out of the game.
