Coleman had a decent loan at Blackpool, something Patterson could have done with, a loan, doesn't have to be Balckpool.

Can see him at a good championship club. Needs to be tested at a near prem level I think, if he doesnt start here, but consistency and games is a must.

Absolutely. 6 appearances for Rangers is nowhere near enough prep for a young player to hit the ground running in the Premier League unless they are incredibly talented already.
There’s a player here if we get his development right.

I can see Moyes being quite cautious with Patterson and initially use him as more of an attacking sub to change a game while preferring Young or Coleman to start at right back - depending on injuries.

The main thing is that he has a chance to get minutes. Dychenosaur had no interest at all in developing him and had pretty much frozen him out completely.

I wonder how much of his limited playing time was down to him not taking Dyches grief in pre season

Forgot about that bit, although Dyche taking the smack would explain a lot lately

I'd not put it past Moyes to start Patterson on the RW with Young behind.

Can’t be any worse than Harrison as RW

Tbf to Harrison, most left footed players on the right wing would struggle without an overlapping fullback.
