Technically we'd be replacing Godfrey with Holgate.

Not that it makes it any better.

Dyche described Holgate as "Southampton's player" in the presser today, which probably tells you where he stands in Dyche's squad thoughts.

Reece Welch recalled from loan to Forest Green - Godfrey replacement?

Welch wasn’t getting in the team at FGR. Probably a recall so we can find him another club.

Is the Godfrey link legit then?

Out of all ( not that many ) links for players this is the one that makes the most sense to me Assane Diao playing on the right wing and is right footed only 18 years old

Still holding out hope for Lewis Ferguson (CM) and Jacob Greaves (CB left footed) , but our time for signing them would have been last summer might be a bit to much for us now

Pinch of salt - it's a good Arsenal account, but am unsure about any track record of decent connections/sources

Yeah, I thought that might happen. Jorginho has been a bit of a failure and they seem to have developed a conscience now Partey is injured and no longer a vital part of the team.

Can't say I'll shed a tear when he goes. £70-80m ballpark I think.

At least Arsenal seem prepared to pay top transfer fees these days.

I thought Arsenal weren't in a position to bring in Toney because of FFP issues. Not sure if/how this would be feasible in this window.

Yeah, I'd wonder if Arsenal had the ability to spend big at least for this window..?

You'd have thought their priority would be a striker too.

I get that we are pretty much strapped, but, feel it's now become a necessity to dip into the market now if McNeil is done.

Some horrendous fixtures up ahead.

Daniel Juma will now get some serious game time, and at a push we can move Garner wide right and Harrison wide left.

So I'd be looking to bring in another midfielder ideally that offers some form of creativity.

All we’ll do is cancel Benfica buying Gomes for €5m
