Been out in Bergamo this weekend. Managed to catch an Atalanta game. Lookman is such a fun, classy player. We really fucked up not going all in on him when he was here.

To be fair to us, he didn’t set the world on fire at multiple clubs (us, Leipzig, Fulham, Leicester), and has found his groove in the last couple of years for whatever reasons.

There's no way we would have had the patience to watch him for 5 seasons before hitting this level.

Its hard to develop not being given minutes though isnt it.

As i recall he did alright at Leipzig in limited minutes and okay at Fulham, but never nailed down a place.

They adore him over here, they all expect him to leave in the summer.

All the noises were that he desperately wanted to leave anyway, couldn't blame him as we were mid-shambles.

Some players suit certain leagues more than others - they might just not be a good fit for the premier league

Shit source but thought I'd post it anyway.

Personally think he's a bit washed up and doesn't have much passion for the game left and got too "comfortable" for me.

If it was a loan I'd imagine we'd still have to cover a massive portion of those wages too.

Id be made up with him.

Get him on the wing and don't shackle him like Pep does, allow him to enjoy footy again like he did at Villa.

I dont think he will come due to wages etc though.

£20m sancho could be going for this window.

Could be one we look at. Hope we don’t like.

He's going nowhere unless someone covers his mad wages. Chelsea are about to pay 5m not to sign him. His value because of his contract is zero

Grealish wold be transformative playing in the 10.

Hugely creative and by far and away the best player on the pitch for us.

I'd do it on loan for Doucs wages, would be an enormous upgrade.

Just have to look at how he played in the 10 for England when Carsley came in, just play him there, let him roam and dictate the play in advanced areas.

Him feeding Delap, Ndaiye being overlapped by an attacking full back... Someone with pace on the right. Ooooh yeah!

Think he's lost his hunger a bit tbh. Too invested in his deals with Pepsi and Gucci, and lost a lot of his drive.

Defo up for a loan deal. Supposedly devastated that he’s out the England set up. We would offer first choice place and no need to relocate. Pay half his wages, there’s a deal to be done there somewhere

Went on a 2 month bender after winning the treble and never came back

Don't think we need him tbh.
