We all hope and pray for our leader and captain Tom Lockyer, who is thankfully responsive and has been taken to hospital.

We don’t know the full extent of what happened and what the next steps are at this stage, but we thank Bournemouth and the medical staff on both sides for their immediate response, which was absolutely amazing.

We are sorry to all supporters present that players from both sides were in no state of mind to continue with the game after seeing their much-loved team-mate and friend taken off like that, and staff could not carry on with managing the game in such circumstances having had to deal with the situation.

We thank everyone for the wonderful applause and singing of Locks’ name inside the stadium at such a difficult time.

Now is the time for all of our players, staff and supporters to come together as we always do and give our love and support to Tom and his family.

Our thoughts are with him and them all.

Confirmed it's a cardiac arrest. Hopefully they can maybe do the same as Eriksen and he can play again.

Fingers crossed for him, but since he has previously had a procedure on his heart, I would think it unlikely that he will play again unfortunately.

Just saw Man City score, thought that game was done, Crystal Palace at home always a banana skin for them it seems.

I'm not sure on the exact procedure but he had heart surgery after his collapse against Coventry, as he suffers from atrial fibrillation.

You'd imagine, after both episodes, retirement will be very much being considered.

Just saw the Jimenez red card, what a weird challenge that was. It was clearly out of control, and he seemed to have little regard for where the ball actually was but then he tries to abort midair and hits him in the face with his arse seemingly.

It was bizarre, and as reckless as it was, there was nowhere near as much intent in that challenge as there was in the elbow from Lascelles that went unpunished. When you watch that back, Lascelles knows exactly where Jiminez is and quite clearly lashes his elbow out. It's as clear an elbow to the jaw as you're likely to see, yet was deemed as perfectly ok.

Jiminez absolutely desrved his red card. You simply cannot jump into someone and twat them on the head with your arse, but I'm really surprised that there was not more made of the earlier challenge by Lascelles, which went unpunished. That's a few incisents of this type that Newcastle have got away with just in the last couple of weeks.
