HomeGrown etc , but players from just England that rule ended ages ago.

Home grown allocation + already proven at this level and in this league specifically, meaning there's no bedding in period, and not much danger of them being unsuited for the league.
It's basically guaranteeing success with the transfer, or at least as close as you can feasibly get to that, Vs gambling on a player like say Wirtz who comes in for a big fee and doesn't settle or can't handle the physicality and pace of the league.

I like the idea of shifting him at a mega wedge but only if we spend the money wisely.
Getting transfer fees in to spent on good buys for Everton at the moment feels a bit like sending a kid to the sweet shop with fifty pound note - if they come back with a load of crap you’ve only got yourself to blame for having too much trust in the under qualified.

Villa won’t be paying what we want. Or at least it’s very unlikely.
We can’t afford to lose him after Gana going and he’s therefore almost unsellable unless a stupid offer comes in.
