Like he's never been away!

He's never won a domestic trophy; We've never won the League Cup

Tell you what, you can't fault the man. Dyche was right when he said add wins to our run and it doesn't look too bad.

I think i put this on another thread,i read or heard it..........
David Moyes doesn`t just buy he makes player ..........or words to that effect

So at the press conference he said they may need to use academy players and hes got Leighton Baines whose opinions he would trust 100% .......yes .......

i am wandering a bit here ........ the transfers windows closed is that it
1. can you not get on board a player
2. can we not afford to do that
Arsenal are talking about `free agents` how does that work

and just to finish my Friday waffling !!!!
when DM first came to Everton he coined the phrase`The Peoples Club`and imho he gave Evertonians their pride back if you know what i mean
And now he is doing starting to do the same

sorry if i`ve bored the kecks off everyone

I think the opportunity exists to buy players who are out of contract, players like that though....

But there's no doubt in my mind we will be in an astronomically better place after he leaves us than we were when he came in
I didn’t see anything in the Bournemouth game that suggested it was a cautious/don’t lose mentality.

They’re a good side and Tarks had a shocker with lots on individual errors which aren’t blamed on the system/tactics.

I also think not having an actual back up LB hamstrung Moyes too.

Loved listening to his presser today, seemed to be putting a positive spin on things - much better than the doom and gloom attitude of his predecessor.

We’re not in Europe. Yet. 👍

Moyes on TFG:

https://www.theguardian.com/football/20 ... e-football

The Everton manager met members of TFG, including executive chair Marc Watts, at the team hotel on Thursday morning after their attendance at the final derby to be held at Goodison Park. “We had a conversation about where we are, what we are doing and where we are hoping to go,” said Moyes, who has moved Everton 10 points clear of the relegation zone but must contend with a seriously depleted squad for at least the next month. “It’s too early at the moment to use the word ‘safe’ because we are not safe,” he added.

Nevertheless, Moyes and TFG discussed their vision for rebuilding Everton into a more competitive Premier League club and, with profitability and sustainability constraints expected to ease this summer, future transfer strategy. “They want to build the club back up,” said Moyes. “There are lots of things that we have to try and change and I don’t know how quickly we will be able to change everything. But I sense they want to move on and get rid of this past as quickly as they can.

“It was good to hear what they had to say. My gut feeling of them is they want us to spend. When I say that I mean they want us to buy the correct players. There will be a lot of change here because there are a lot of players out of contract in the summer. How quick can we build that up? I don’t think you expect it to be done in one transfer window. This will be the first summer transfer window for TFG and maybe from there we will start to judge it more.”

Remember first seeing Fellani, think he came on as sub, thought Wtf has he bought, he did it with so many, average and nothing looking players we ended up loving, great to have him back.

When we were first linked with Fellaini, I remember watching Standard Liege playing Liverpool in the CL qualifying round and Fellaini played at DM for SL, just screening their back four. He was absolutely immense in that game and I remember thinking to myself what a player we were being linked with. He stuck out like a sore thumb because he was a big lad anyway, but then that massive fro as well. It was more than just his appearance though. He snuffed everything oit that Liverpool threw at them and just looked like a big, physical unit and really suited to the physicality of the PL.

It took him a little while to settle, but let's not forget, he was only a young lad when he arrived in 2008. I think he's only late 30s now, around 37/38.

Previous times we’ve been linked I was strongly against him coming back, still bitter over how he left and wanting to him have moved on sooner.

But he’s been great so far, he understands the club fully, will give every thing for us while here and I am glad we have him.

13 from 18 and he gets a bye for the Villa result anyway.

Remarkable turnaround for a squad that can't be taken any further, not only that but an even smaller squad today with injuries and suspensions.

Expected him to do a solid job, didn’t expect us to separate ourselves from the relegation fighters so swiftly though.

It’s basically been the best-case scenario for him so far.
