Think Moyes is using him well tbh, he's having to work for his place in the team despite being a high priced purchase for us. No ego's allowed... Doesn't matter what you cost, you work hard, you put the effort in and you will be rewarded in time.

Was frustrating watching McNeil come on instead of him in previous matches but also sends a great message to the lad about needing to impress to be given a chance.

If in a year's time he's still barely getting a game fair enough, but reckon there's no coincidence with Ndaiye about to go off to AFCON that Dibling got on ahead of McNeil yesterday. Just Moyes working towards this period of losing Ndaiye so that Dibling is chomping at the bit to play and willing to work his nuts off once he gets it.

Zero complaints from me (unless he starts McNeil in all the games Ndaiye misses).

Lizz to be fair you have 2 points of view on a player... you either "love" a player for some obscure reason, or they are a useless "cunt' that you "hate". I tend to let that wash over me to be honest, but if you are going to call a point of view crazy, at least back it up with some line of argument.

I get the frustration given the deficiencies in the squad but there aren’t many better places for a young dribble monster to learn his craft than in a squad with the likes of Ndiaye and Grealish.

Maybe he’s a dud but there’s also a reasonable chance that, after he comes through this spell on the bench and cements his place in the first eleven, he ends up looking like a £60m plus player.

Can’t say I have complete faith that that’ll happen because player development is erratic but I’m still on board with the thinking behind signing him.

I just see it crazy that you're saying you willing to give him back.

He will turn out really good and we have to stick with him. Looking forward to him getting his chance in the next few weeks.

I do understand the hypothetic scenario though yes. Replace him with fullback/striker. If we had them then we would be in top 3....

Nothing against Dibling, I'm hoping he starts more than McNeil over the afcon period but the situation does have a whiff of the Moise Kean scenario about it.

The problem for dibbling is that hes going to be in part judged by what we field at right back and upfront. Not fair on him but in terms of team building it was a stupid signing. He looked a good player when he came on but id absolutely would have preferred we'd spent the dibbling and Barry money on better/readier

I think dibbling will go on to be worth the money. Im not sure he'll ever be worth the money and the cost to us this season though. I dont really understand the rush to sign him

He’s been here 5 minutes and at the rate at which we’ve previously ruined players I’m happy to see this 19yo phased in slowly.

Might even have been a candidate to loan out if it had not been for the facts that we are very light in midfield, will lose a couple more for AfCON and the lad gets homesickness so bad it ruined a previous move for him.

This is definitely one to take time with and while he should be pushed and has to work hard to improve, there’s a fine line with this one of making sure he is comfortable and secure in himself, balanced with pushing him out of his comfort zone on the pitch and in his performances.
