Just because some people have expectations, it doesn't always mean they are realistic. Sometimes it's important to understand context.

But I don't think anybody is saying he's in form or without blame.

Not if he doesn’t get the ball when he makes them. Of those 600 runs he made I wouldn’t mind also seeing how many times we found him with the ball. I bet it’s low.

I reckon I could fix him with a few simple instructions, like ‘Take your own ball onto the pitch up your jersey, Dom. It’s the only way you’ll get a kick.’

I get it that the service to him is not the best. That is also an issue that needs to be addressed. However, I'll never be convinced that DCL is a PL quality centre forward. He's just got.far too many flaws to his game. Whilst I accept that some of the stuff he does I'd following the manager's instructions,.I'm also.prety damn certain that no manager has ever said to him "If you find yourself through on goal, one on one with the keeper, just twat it straight at him". That's what he does every fucking time. It's not like he's a young kid, just breaking through. He's a 27 year old with plenty of.PL games under his belt. If these flaws are still there now, they'll always be there.

I know that there are people on here who rate him and will defend him to the hilt, but I just don't think he's good enough all round to be leading the line in the PL.

I agree with what you’re saying. I’m just saying that he’s putting a shift in, he’s in the top 5 in the league for it, so he’s doing what he can there.

Finishing though - whole other story. Not good enough. Needs to go back to school.

Absolutely spot on.
As i posted a few pages back, he just hasn't got it.
No nous, no instinct, no composure and no end product.
Nowhere near good enough to lead the line at a premier league team

Liverpool had nearly 40 fucking shots there. 40.

Would take us 6 weeks to get that many chances.

And only then if we were playing midweek too.

If we let Gana shoot whenever he wanted then we'd get 40 shots easy, pretty much what the shite were doing today until the 91st minute anyway.

Would be cruel to everyone sitting behind the goal, though.

I think it's probably vehicles travelling along Walton Lane that would be more at risk tbf.

Our fans would be digging out the xG and crucifying our players if we had 38 consecutive shots without scoring

Think we'd live with it if we were top
