There really wasn't any other decision they could make there was there?

Given the game was all square I think this is the logical decision to make.

Wonder what would have happened if it was 3-0 either way?

Buxton were leading at Scunthorpe earlier in the season and the game was abandoned for a waterlogged pitch in second half injury time...replayed from start.
The precedent now seems to be if a game doesn't finish and clubs are blameless i.e. serious or life threatening injury, weather etc etc the game is replayed from the start.
If a side ran out of players a la Sheff Utd v West Brom Battle of Bramall Lane then that may well still be viewed differently.

Sounds like Moyes gave it a right good go tonight. 33% possession and not a single shot on goal.

So, there you have it, much better to go out on pens than to have got pumped in the next round by their under 18s again.

Nah, a semi final at Goodison against them would have been great.
We are above three of the teams in the semis (without the deduction)
Huge missed opportunity.
