Just goes to show how his role had a negative effect on him under Dyche... Yes he could have done better on one or two today but he's got in positions to score multiple times in both games under Moyes now and low and behold he's scored a great goal!

Not sure he was man of the match but he was certainly a lot more involved and the goal will do him a world of good.

Helped his case being up against a weak set of center backs positioned high up the pitch but yeah, much better when you get a few players close to him so he’s not expected to knock the ball down and retain it himself every time the ball’s played his way.

Definitely looked better, scored such a good goal.
That said, probably should have really had 2 or 3 though. The easier chances were the ones he didn’t take or really test the keeper.
So honestly for me was overall positive but also a mixed bag. If we had collapsed there would’ve been more of a critical eye on those missed chances.
Best striker we have, and does a lot for the team outside of scoring too. Will be tricky to replace if he ends up going.

Played well and a great finish for his goal, should have had another couple but hopefully that helps his confidence now and he can get a few more.

Yeah already looks like the weight of the world off his shoulders. Would back him to get 5-10 goals in the remaining games, without a problem.

The one on the spin is the only one I think he had much control over doing better to be fair. Good pressure for the own goal as well. His best performance this season

Should have had a hat trick but more shots than any other game this season and more touches in the opposition box tells it's own story.
He's not a clinical enough striker to play Dycheball.

Great today, I know not everyone likes him but I want him to stay, he's what Moyes wants in a striker, a target man who can score but doesn't need to be prolific.
We also have to replace a lot of players in the summer with very limited funds, it's highly unlikely we'll get the £80m we wanted for Branthwaite so re-signing DCL (if we could get him to stay) even if it's £100k a week saves us £20m - £30m on a striker that can then be spent elsewhere.
Not everyone will agree, that's fine... I've always loved Dom so my opinion will be swayed somewhat by that, but he already looks way more dangerous under Moyes and I reckon he'll score 6+ more this season just by virtue of being in the right place to score now he's not playing under Dyche. Take that confidence in to next season and maybe score 10-12 over the 38 games and it'd be well worth not spending those funds on his replacement.

Whilst I don't rate him, fair play to him he played really well today and scored, so can't really ask for much more than that. One swallow however, does not make a summer.

He looked quite emotional today when he scored. He's had to deal with so much in terms of expectations under Dyche, who really set him up to fail. Moyes knows what he needs and today he showed he's still decent. He's not world class or even top level because he wouldn't be playing for us if he was. Made up for him myself

He was given a completely pointless role under him
