Inherited an amazing squad. Just a bit of painting and maybe some lamps and stuff. The downstairs bathroom needs some work but not a priority. Maybe remodel the kitchen and put some decking outside
Ooh... a bit of decking out back, done properly mind. Ooh

2 years apparently. 30m in wages. At this point city would need a sucker to actually buy him or to let him go for next to nowt.

If its true he wants to stay in the North West, it'll get done on the last day, or he'll stay at City.

If its not true, then we've got no chance.

Can’t say I’d be too bothered if he didn’t arrive here wages are a huge issue

Not bothered either way.

Main concern is really if it drags on too long and we don’t get it done and then we’re scrambling. Same with other deals, it’s not that some can’t be left to deadline day but we also need to make sure a few key positions are signed and in because clearly the squad needs quality and numbers.

Maybe this Grealish deal is more the icing on the cake though and could be left until later as long as the other deals are done.

"will" vs "should"?

6.5m in wages @ 125k per week
5.5m loan fee

That’s less than a finish three positions higher in the league would bring, I would bank on that being the difference he could make.

That’s fine if it includes wages.

You wonder what exactly did they expect when they went in for him.

I don't think anyone approaching them could have anticipated they'd ask for one of the highest wages in the prem to be covered in full. That's crack pipe talk

I think they would have expected at least half the wages covered and a loan fee.

I think if he wants out bad enough he’ll accept a pay cut.
