Can we stop buying players from relegated clubs
You seem to be under the impression we have options.
We'll be lucky to beat Hull to the players we need.

There’s nothing wrong with buying from relegated clubs. Quality players go down every year, never more so than now where everyone in the PL has legitimate financial clout.
Only downside is there’s usually a premium to be paid for demonstrated quality in the PL.
I’d personally be fine if a lot of our business was buying the best young talents from the Championship. Those players usually have a solid hit rate in terms of becoming useful PL players and the ones that don’t properly acclimate still retain plenty of value since future PL newcomers will usually be interested.

That market has got very very expensive in recent years with loads of players going for thirty million plus

My point about relegated players is more about mentality than quality the likes of Bowen will obviously be good wherever he goes but defenders from relegated clubs can be tricky

Sometimes they work out just fine though.

Says he values his height and pace at right back . I don’t think anyone enjoys Jake O’Brien at right back, not even the player himself
Felt like towards the end of the season teams were targeting him when attacking and also double marking our good attacking players like Ndiaye and happily letting O’Brien and Mykolenko have possession as they know they hate having the ball and can’t do anything with it
Right back for me is the number one priority this summer. Followed by left back. Still hoping Aznou will get a chance at left back, though I don’t expect that to happen

I’d prefer that height and pace at cb tbh

Same!
Would make a huge difference in how we can get at teams with 2 fast centre backs and 2 full backs that are comfortable on the ball. Means we won’t have to have massive gaps between the different areas of the team and would give us a chance to finally have a fighting chance of winning the possession battle and actually dictating games ourselves
