Jesper Lindstrom
Re: Jesper Lindstrom
Just not sure about this signing. On reddit, both Frankfurt n Napoli fans don't seem to hold him in high regards. He had 2-3 months of being absolutely world class at Frankfurt but nothing post that and that was 18 months back. Would hope he comes good though.
Re: Jesper Lindstrom
Maybe but Dyche has done almost exactly the same thing for roughly 12 years straight so I will not personally be holding my breath.
Re: Jesper Lindstrom
As long as it keeps Jack Harrison out of the team then I'm happy. Nice to have a wide player with a bit of pace that works hard enough that Dyche won't just bench him for the season.

It's always tough to take on board the opinions of fans of clubs a player has left, without considering bias.wepull wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 12:12 pm Just not sure about this signing. Yes, sometimes the criticisms may be accurate in hindsight, but also if Villa fans were to read the majority of our forums/social media about Onana, or Newcastle fans were to do the same about Gordon, they might be somewhat worried about the quality of the player they were signing and often it proves to be wildly inaccurate.

Has a great debut, fades during October. Few decent cameos, hardly seen after the new year.
Signs for Wolfsburg for £7m in the summer.
Everyone blames dyche for him not performing.

Re: Jesper Lindstrom
Be not a bad season that, as many as Dwight McNeil, Jack Harrison and Beto got last year in fewe games!
Re: Jesper Lindstrom
Definitely not easy to go into Napoli last season but I imagine it's tough off the pitch as well. If you're a Dane living in Germany then you'll get by just fine speaking a decent level of English whereas if you're playing in Italy then that isn't likely to be the case. Combine that with the state of the club last season then I don't think there's much reason to be worried about his Napoli spell.

Re: Jesper Lindstrom
Encouraging!
Starts for me from now on. The touch to get beyond the defender for the cross that got cut out was really good.
Keeps finding himself running through and threatening the back line. Got more to give!
