As long as he ends up more Bernardo Silva than Keiran Dowall he'll be fine.

Heβs already well better than Dowell (who is going to come good now any day, I swear!).

Come on, mentioning him in the same breath as James, Pienaar Grealish? Lets not get too carried away. I said 7/10 which I think is a fair assessment of his game last night, I don't know why people are suddenly going all defensive about him like he put in a MOM performance. He was fine, and hopefully he continues to improve but lets not go overboard about it.
I think it's more about the sentiment that he was getting some criticism (and yes many reservations) from having a big price tag (that he had nothing to do with) and wasnt playing (that he also arguably had little to do with) amd was seen as a waste and we'd made a bad decision to sign him.
That, and the excitement that he has obvious skill and quality on the ball that surpasses most of his peers (except maybe Iliman and Jack - which must be said is an absolute luxury for us).
It's not really an assessment on end product at this point, but that where the boy is headed if he can imprive his off the ball work etc is really exciting.
He's not a Rooney that has so much across his whole game that he can just be thrown in, but with improvement in these other areas we've likely signed a gem.

Toooooooo calm
Imagine what he's going to be like when he's match fit and understands his role. Athletic monster, good luck defenders. Strong kid indeed.
I think he might also end up in the middle with, or in front of, Bruce Wayne.

I can see Grealish in his play, the way he draws players in and shields the ball. Watching him recently, you could see he's growing in confidence and if he keeps playing, we'll have a very silky Jack, Illi and Dibbo behind a striker. Still want Grealish in the middle, but he could do it too
