What about legend Johnny “ale house” Morrisey, scored on his debut against his former team, snapped Jack Charltons ankle, decked Billy Bremner, known to have had the occasional swift half or two in the Winslow an hour before kick off.
A little bit before my time, but yes, he was another good signing from the shite.

He came through their academy

I worked with his granddaughter for a few years. JM still going strong, family all still blues.

Fantastic news ! Some lovely tributes from players back then, Jimmy Greaves said “Mogsey always liked to get his retaliation in first” George Best said “one of the greatest defenders that wasn’t a defender”

Hopefully the Richarlison rumours dry up now, I would expect he's a Thomas Frank kind of player.
Brentford are also taking quite a few body blows this offseason, there will be room for advancement into the middle class for sure.

Looks good under the hood. Good age profile. Would have no issues with this.

If we’re willing to pay the fee then the stumbling block will be that we don’t have Europe so I can see this one dragging on until someone pips us. If he’s worth £33m then I’m not sure we’re in a strong position. Villarreal in CL too so he may just turn us down

Yeah Barry looks very good. Lots of headed goals, good hold up player and a calm finish. Not much not to like.

Would make for a nice story as well considering his dad played for us, Gareth.
