We lost £89m in 22/23 and 23/24 hasn’t been published, yet.
Also, we’re not debt free - it’s just been restructured from bad loans to “good” loans.
The £89m is the total losses. Not all of it applies to PSR calc
The main three debts were paid by Friedkin and turned into equity in the club, so yes, those massive debts and interest payments have been sorted

No, the loans have been finished. The debt incurred from the Friedkins' used to pay off the loans has been converted into equity from a share issue. The Friedkin Group has seperately borrowed money for this, but this is not on the club.

Wouldn't surprise me if they didn't renew Kevs contract or he didn't want to sign one.
They'll give Moyes full authority I reckon, just how he likes it.
It wouldn't surprise me if, when Moyes is done with management, he steps into a DOF role himself. Think he will be good at it.
I just think it’s too much work these days. Saw an interview with some DoF the other day and he was saying even during the regular season when the transfer window is closed, he makes and receives between 50 - 100 calls/ messages a day.
You can’t be doing that and managing a team.
That’s not to say Moyes can’t be much more involved in the process than Dyche was - I’m certain he is.

It’s been widely reported that they will take out what is essentially a mortgage, leveraged against the stadium.

Don't forget the Premier League is moving away from PSR to squad cost rules from 25/26. From what I've read that helps us in theory, but let's see how it plays out:
Premier League clubs will be allowed to spend 85 per cent of their commercial, matchday and media revenues, as well as any profit they make from player-trading, on wages for their first-team squad and coaches, the amortised cost of any transfer fees and payments to agents.
Clubs participating in Europe, however, will have to meet UEFA’s lower threshold of 70 per cent, which is another of the concerns flagged by the clubs opposed to anchoring, as they believe a multiple of five will force them to make cuts to their playing budgets.

Wonder what our wage turn over % is now, few years ago it was like 90 odd % wasn't it.
In theory our revenue it about to hit an incline, while wages will drop off left and right.
Should put us in a position where we can start stacking the squad with good promising players with future bankable fees, rather than the schneiderlin Sig bolasie Tosun Walcott Rooney gomes types that come on on top wages and we can't ever move.

Partially correct. From everything I've read The Friedkin Group is looking to take out a long term loan/mortgage using Bramley Moore as an asset they now own. This will replace the funds they've put forward to clear the existing loans, but will sit on the TFG books not Everton's, and as such there won't be interest payments showing in the clubs accounts.

Not going to bang on about it like and clearly they've done what they could do given the restrictions on finances and opportunity, I just personally think it is a reactionary view to be like, we won 3 games therefore we're sound.
If we lose the next 4 on the bounce are we going to say well no bother we won them games in January?
Is Beto playing the next 4-6 weeks until we get Broja and Chermiti back, and when they're back...how long are they back for?
Is what it is and I'm thankful we've got Moyes because he can be a bit more flexible and we'll probably see Doucs and Ndiaye centrally and stuff, but for me I think it's a hugely disappointing window to come out of Jan so much weaker than we went in.
It’s only a hugely disappointing window if your expectations were unrealistic.

Happy enough with the window but there are holes in the squad a few injuries and it will be square pegs in round holes very light in Center mid and left back hopefully gana doesn’t get injured
Yeah i's not ideal but it's good enough.
Lindstrom could move centrally with Patterson coming in.
Timmy could get more game time.
Harrison could probably do a job as LWB as could Young.
Ndaiye could play as an ST if desperate.
Alcaraz looks versatile across the midfield and potentially RWB given he's played both RM and RB before.
Broja probably back in 6 weeks and I think he'd do well under Moyes.
I wouldn't want to be starting next season with this standard of depth but it'll get us enough points this season to finish comfortably clear of danger.

Not sure who posted it before but
Broja - Loan end
Young - end of contract
Begovic - end of contract
Coleman - end of contract
Keane - end of contract
Gana - end of contract
Doucoure - end of contract
Mangala - Loan End
Calvert-Lewin - end of contract
Virginia - end of contract
Harrison - Loan End
Lindestrom - Loan End
Alcaraz - Loan End (could trigger a obligation to buy)
Think Gana would and should sign at least a one year extension.
Am confident that both Lindstrom and Alcaraz will become good permanent signings.
Also think Armstrong will be part of the squad next year
DCL will go on a free and the rest are no loss.
That would give a squad of 16 so need to sign six or seven.

I think that window was a reflection of the January window in general and our dealings are pretty much in keeping with the vast majority of other top flight clubs.

Little thread on transfer spends (open it for longer periods) - goes without saying that we've been hamstrung for years, but the revenue from Bramley Moore, any associated commercial deals, and any general improvement in finances TFG can bring will be be transformational.

Think those above will all leave the squad, we'll renew some of the below and replace others listed.
Young - Replace with Kyle Walker Peters (£free)
Keane - Replace with back up CB (£15m)
Lindestrom - Buy £16m
Alcaraz - Buy - £20m
Gana - end of contract - Renew
Calvert-Lewin - Still think we'll agree a renewal with him
Virginia - Renew
Doucoure - Renew
That's £51m and we'll still need a new LB a striker to replace DCL or at least rotate and give him competition, plus 1-2 midfielders and 1-2 wide players or wide 10s with pace.
I think it's a huge ask so don't envy Moyes and whoever our DOF is come the summer.

I thinks it's hard not to see January as a win all round. Got rid of Dyche and the squad seems rejuvenated.
Winning the last 3 games has given us a fair bit of breathing space which has meant we haven't had to buy or overpay for someone one in January who would be a stopgap.
It means the DOF and The owners can plan the summer window now, knowing what we can afford and knowing we are most likely going to be a premier league team next season.
Beto stepping up, Garner and Tim returning all been positives. Jake O'Brien being used and Lindstroem showing some quality have also been positive factors. Alcaraz coming in is a lowish risk move as well and he is typical of the type of gem that Moyes unearthed in his first spell. (Kid with promise who lost his way a little)
Keeping our powder dry for the summer is 100% the right move and shows that that lessons of the past have been learned and we can move into the new stadium with a new squad to match!

Yeah, on reflection I probably would give Virginia another year but Doucoure is reportedly on £130k a week which woukd be ridiculous, would give him another year around the £40k mark but he would probably opt for Saudi.
Not sure wher the price tag for Alcaraz comes from ?
