Think renewing DCL would be a massive mistake. He's never fit and the only reason he's open to it is because he'll have no options at anything like what we offered him because he's never fit

I'd absolutely be in to that in a big way.

One of DCL or Beto needs to leave this summer and only one would bring in a fee... That's also the one who's utterly shit so it's a win win

Not sure on the prospect of having a backup striker who can't be relied on to be fit when needed, who also clearly only wants to stay because of a lack of interest, and who doesn't score goals.

It'd be bad for both parties. He needs to go, and we need to move on.

I'd let him go, injury prone and also prone to long streaks without a goal or an assist. Wasn't there also stories a couple of years back after his long injury lay offs that he would never be fully right again?

We owe him nothing, he probably doesn't owe us anything, it feels a bit lazy to renew him just because he hasn't found the move he seemed to think he'd get and we need a striker. I'd also start worrying about how much money and ambition the new owners have when Richarlison on loan and a new contract for DCL seem to be the kind of thinking.

Can delap hold the ball up?

Only seen him play front to back basketball.

I'd like dom to go, CBA with the fans attitude towards him, CBA with a striker who breaks down as much as he does. His story here has come to an end.

I think it’s right for everyone if he goes. But a striker is likely to cost actual dough, so what Andy specs out here isn’t a bad option if we spend on midfield and backup players. It’s just that not getting a new striker in feels like it would be a huge miss for recruitment.

In fact, this could actually be a dangerous option if the recruitment team think it’s a good idea.

Yeah I wouldn't want to rely on him as the first choice option, but I reckon there's a fair few teams would look at him as a backup / 20 mins off the bench type of player who are better teams than us. I actually think that suits his physical issues too, less game time but probably more impact as he'd be up against tired legs.

I think the fact that hes come back to the table suggests the teams that want him as a back up want to pay him backup wages while we apparently offered him a payrise

He's not going to want to accept shit wages here. He wants what we offered him months ago
