The lad Clarke who at least tried to show a bit genuinely changed the tone then.
Don't know how good he actually is like but he's ran at them every time.

Decent feet with great skills, even if it's this level

Some good shows from the youngsters there. Some nice skills and confidence on display.

God run out
Beto, as he should, looking head and shoulders above.
Was a tough game, which is what we need at this point

Liked the look of some of the youngsters there.
Thought beto changed the tone of the game.
Another good showing for Chermiti.
Just a kick about really.
Blackburn next then the serious stuff starts in the USA.
Hopefully fingers crossed we have 1 or 2 new signings for the first team in by then.

Had to pause it for a bit, Clarke had some great touches though didn't he? Never heard of him before but he was a fun player to watch in his cameo.
Looks like we signed him last year:

Did the young Irish lad come on?
Big things expected from him but might be too early for him to get some minutes

Not that I saw. Young players i saw-
Some rough RB I've never heard of who at least looked big and strong but not good.
Clarke at RW (did well but is miles off)
Heath at LW (

but probably not really got it ultimately)
Metcalf (bright but is probably a L2 player)
Armstrong (looked at home without doing too much)
Chermiti (looks off it and uncoordinated)

So various shades of shite and will never make a difference to the first team?

Be blown away if any other then chermiti and Harrison play a game in the prem.
The likes of okoronkwo, boakye, sherif must be out the door for sure to not even get a sniff here.

Tamen at RB is a centre back so Moyes was probably just giving everyone a run out last night, I don't anyone believes they'll be near the first team come the start of the season.

Happens every year where kids get a run out early in pre-season. Will be surprised if Armstrong isn't the only young player involved in the first team. Looked like he was more involved than big James Garner last night.

Armstrong looks like he has a real chance of being a PL player.
If heβs around, it needs to be because we think he can start regularly in the PL today.
Otherwise, we need to buy another CM and loan him back out.
We absolutely cannot have him around as a rotation option unless we want to squander his upside.
