It was posted at the time that all Sandro's goals were low xg and that he'd massively outperformed it by such a margin it was clearly a fluke.

But we didn't seem to use any sort of data driven recruitment processes so signed him expecting a similar number of goals and got exactly what the data showed. Horrible ineptitude by the club.

It's very telling that pretty much all our horrible signings not only did absolutely nothing here but went onto do nothing everywhere else too. With the exception of lookman and kean but even then they took years and years of failing before finally kicking on

We just signed a load of shite and threw our weight around financially while doing it. We couldn't have recruited much worse trying to make a mess. Players and managers almost every one a poor choice
