Does he win that many headers considering his size

BUT the guy is a 21 year old 6 foot godknowswhat space eater with the highest duel success rate in the league, in the 95th percentile for headed duals, best pass completion in our side bar none, plays in a position that is currently going through a boom in terms of prices commanded by players, wanted by, if you believe the rumours, Barcelona, Arsenal, United...and across here and twitter we've fans who are happy to see the back of him because he looks a bit too relaxed.
His style is very Branthwaite-like. Scares the crap.

More than anyone who isn't a CB or a striker in the team. Best win rate. Better than 95% of CMS in Europe.

Might be missing it but I'm really not fussed for him. Selling him for 60 or 70m seems like a no brainer. Feels like what he currently does could be replaced for less than half of that

I rate him. Hope we keep him for a few more years.

He gets his head to a lot of balls in the air, but his technique for attacking headers leaves a lot to be desired.

I'm actually a fan of Onana though, yes that penalty was ridiculous but he's one of our most talented players and has kicked on massively this year. Love his passing range when he's on his game, love his meaty tackles and love his engine.

Would like to see him drive forward more when we're chasing the game, but pleased he's here and happy with his progress.

Insanely good player, zero evidence he doesn't try as hard as Garner, best midfielder by a distance.

Great in the tackle, can pass better than any other midfielder we have, elite in the air, can turn upfield with the ball better than anyone else in the team, good ball carrier, covers ground as well as anyone but Doucoure.

I'd have an ego if I was him as well. Garner is no where near him and it's insane to me that people can't wait to have him sold and gush over Garner because he looks like he runs hard.

We will sell him, but I'd love it if we had the finances and squad to keep players like him. He wants to play for the best and that's totally fair for a player of his ability. He hasn't shown a lack of commitment here at all and our fans treat him like he's wronged us.

Is there anywhere you can look up a player's distance covered/90? Doesn't seem to be available on FBref.com, my go to for stats.

Ask cause i'd be interested to see Onana's stats on this front. I dont think he'd be highest on the team, but i suspect he's actually up there.

Edit: https://www.skysports.com/football/news ... ng-workers

Not exactly what I was looking for but interesting that, as of November 11, Onana had our highest top sprint speed, and the sixth fastest in the prem. More evidence of what an elite athlete he is--that much pace to go along with his height is kinda crazy. Also, at this point he was only a tad behind Garner in total distance covered - 109 KM v 106 KM - and in the top 40 in the league!

FFS guys, you've said his name 3 times now. You all should know the candyman rule by now.

Onana has played 250 less minutes than Garner. He covers way more ground than him.

I don’t think many people are saying he doesn’t run or doesn’t try.

Just a general frustration that someone of his ability and physicality doesn’t impose himself on games as often as he should.

Oh and he really does need to stop the gesturing to the crowd. This is the type of thing that turns a crowd against you if you’re not performing week in week out.

It's all a bit Sharpattack on here with Onana and Garner. He used to think Neville was a god among men and Hibbert and Osman were shite when the gulf was nowhere as big, in fact Neville was probably the worst of three. Garner and Onana are the same, seems people want to love one and hate the other with no middle ground. I tend to find Garner's good stuff stands out more than Onana's but there's obviously a spreadsheet somewhere to prove that's not the case. They're both just decent young players learning the game.

I think I agree with that. That there's not a lot of difference between the 2. Onanas problem is we are rating him compared to the links he's getting. We don't see a 60m player who'd get in the arsenal team so he appears to be the easy sale right now. I don't think he's being rated using the same criteria as garner is

Probably rating him by the fact he cost more than twice as much as Garner too.

And he was highly rated, whilst Garner was essentially viewed as a championship player and an average Man United discard.
