Brighton agree 33 million deal. Well that’s that!

Think the only way we where getting him was with DCL going the other way
We where never gonna pay 33 outright like Brighton, they always had the advantage there.
Slight shame as he looked shit hot, but we move on.
Just hope this isn't another Diaz/Kudus case of a player wanting to come, then being boss but we where held back by something daft or due to the fact we where poorly run.

I think we’ll still lose out to Brighton for a while yet in the transfer market. They’re financially solid and have a great track record with young players developing well and furthering their careers.
Us, not so much.
Yet.

I just don't think we're in any sort of position to be lashing £33m at prospects.
As has been said, only way it could happen is receiving a large fee for DCL going the other way.

Interested to see how he gets on.
I'd say keeping DCL is a bigger priority than getting this lad in tho. Hope we can!

Maybe the PSR aspect had a bearing on the deal but if Brighton was his best option after us and Lyon 33 mill would have been a huge gamble.

Yeah we seem to get carried away with things , when linked with players
.
£33m for a 19yr old with one full season in the Dutch league would have been a massive gamble for us at this stage . Not the usual Brighton signing too.

We’ll have the lad from hull for half the price, cheers.
