It's absurd that he just plays one formation in all situations. Pep doesn't do that. Which other manager just plays one formation regardless of the situation? It's ludicrous.

He should've been fired at the end of last season. I'm glad he hasn't because I fully hate Utd these days.

I did not realise it was 7 out of 29 that is insane and considering roughly half of those would have been at the Theatre of Nightmares.

A lot of their problems would be solved with a good reliable keeper. Thank fuck nobody outside of Everton thinks JP is a good reliable keeper.

Mental seeing how much of a mess United and Chelsea have made of goalkeepers. Not sure if Pickford would have gone to Chelsea but he'd definitely have gone to United had they come calling.

The kopite infested media really did us a favour on that one.

They had Dean Henderson as well, so they've fucked up that position multiple times.

Pickford is loved here, think even if he played as well elsewhere none of the top teams fans would have the same adoration for him as we do

For that reason I'm not convinced he'd leave if someone came in. Maybe a Bayern or Real maybe, but with the best will in the world I couldn't really imagine Jordan living in a foreign country.

His honesty is admirable but part of the game managing at that level is manipulating the press to your benefit.

Ferguson was a master at it, as was Jose.

He's another modern day weirdo manager, which is fine if you're Pep but most others seem to lack the other facets that are required to be an actual good manager.

He comes across as a very emotional guy. I think fans often appreciate that in a manager, but I wonder about how it is for the players if the manager fluctuates so wildly in his perspective.

It feels almost a bit manipulative? Threatening he could quit, saying he wants to stay for years...if this was a relationship between two people you'd likely just think they'd be better off walking away.

It's an odd one, he's clearly got talent to get this far, but it does feel weird he's so dogmatic with a formation in a sport where being predictable (see goalkeeper water bottle stats) isn't often a good thing.

Chances are, they beat Burnley and they'll trundle along ok for the most part. Arsenal at home and Fulham away aren't easy games for a side that's probably about mid table right now. Long term though he'll need to do a lot better clearly.

Grew up playing Champ Manager as Sporting manager and could plow on and win the title easily playing the same formation and tactics every game…

Far too naive a manager, both in interviews and with his tactics.

Hope he keeps picking up the odd win to extend his stay. United are a mess, its really putting to test the financial monopoly the big 6 have created, its interesting to watch and the perfect example of unfair advantage in modern football. They've been shit for so long but still spending like European champions.

They have been shite in the league for a long time and I think Amorim's run (8 in 30 PL games) must be a new low but they have also probably only been shite by their own standards. In Ten Hag's two full seasons, they won the League Cup, the FA cup and had a 3rd place PL finish (the second season was admittedly 8th).

For the vast majority of clubs that isn't bad.

Amorim's efforts do seem a notable downgrade even on what most thought was a poor reign of Ten Hag's.
