Was just going to share this article but didn’t know which thread to put it in.
Also since the 2017/18 season when Lukaku was sold, Leicester have scored 31 more goals than us in the Premier League, despite spending one season in the Championship during that time.
There's a lot of factors that contribute to that though so I'm not sure that's a great comparison tbh.
It's clear though we need a new striker, but also Beto will at some point go on a run where he bags a few and we climb the league before forgetting how to play football again and the cycle will continue until we get to the end of the season, and hopefully the end of his time here.
We all love Jack Grealish but realistically if we have to pay for him come the end of his loan I'd reluctantly spend the money elsewhere and try bring in a competent striker who can play as the manager wants.
I don't really even mind paying £30m for a striker with no sell on value, as we have Barry who would benefit massively from being an impact sub coming on in matches we've already won, instead of a half time desperation sub hoping he can be less shit than Beto.
Striker, right back, then if we can get Grealish back on a loan or have enough left over to do a deal should be our priority next summer. Until then we just have to ride out the bad Beto spells and not get too excited when he wakes up one morning and puts his boots on the right feet for a short while.

Been done to death but its fucking criminal we don't have a right back. It actually hurts my head when I think about it. I just want Everton to do the very basics to give us a chance.

I said from the first game he played Beto is rubbish, his control is awful, he could not trap a bag of sand, need to get rid in January and move on.

Should have sold him in the summer (in retrospect) and should absolutely be selling him in January. He is obviously not in the form he was second half of last season but there just isn't a Premier League striker in there. He loses the ball pretty much every time it comes to him. I get it's not his game but if you can't hold the ball up well enough and you're not scoring goals then you can't be here.

I wish he'd actually try control the ball when jostling with defenders... I'm guessing at previous clubs he's been able to put muscle them and then worry about getting the ball, but that doesn't work in the Premier League. Even when he wins the battle the other CB has taken the loose ball and already passed it forwards.

He's rubbish but he's not the problem. Tried hard, bumps into people, big and strong. Has done ok under difficult circumstances.
Would rather him than dobvyk who is like Beto but 10x slower.

If someone picked their head up quickly like last season played some balls through/over the back line he'd bag a few. Since we signed ball hogs like Grealish and KDH we just don't play those balls anymore so he's out of his depth trying to play a different game. He's not fit for this level but he's more of a general nuisance than Barry.
