100% has the be in the 10 though surely?
We only have Alcaraz who can play there properly, although there's been mixed evidence of McNeil there... Ndaiye was really poor when we tried him in that position.
-------------------Barry
Ndaiye-------Grealish------Doak
You can't tell me people wouldn't find that exciting?
Was thinking that Jack's natural position was on the left wing where we have McNeil, Ddaiye and Charley that can play there.

Grealish plays in the middle or on the left.
If he plays on the left, ndyiae moves in the middle.
If he plays in the middle, ndyiae plays on the left.
Alcaraz will be a squad player, as will McNeil.
Get someone with pace on the right and we’re good.

That’s a proper squad as well with really able backup.
Desperate for a right winger, even more so than Grealish.

Don't know why I can't get excited about Grealish, not like he's not a great player

We do realise it’s a squad game as well don’t we?
Out of that midfield from last season we’ve lost Mangala, Doucoure, Harrison and Lindstrom - all of those played plenty of games last season
If we do manage to land Grealish then he’s a massive step in quality over all of those players
If that means he starts and McNeil or Alcaraz are fighting for their place then that can only be a good thing

Yeah same, i think its because we don't really believe it'll happen, probably why there's no Grealish thread yet.

I love the idea of Grealish on loan for a year, he'd immediately be our best player. He'd love it here and our fans and I think we'd see the Grealish we saw at Villa before Guardiola stamped out his creativity and instinct.
I'd be completely against buying him though.
I really like Doak from the 3 or 4 times I watched him last season. Ignore where he's coming from and I think he's the correct type of signing for the right money.
I don't know much of Barry, but seems the right profile and a different type of centre forward to Beto.
Liking the links so far this summer.

I’m not getting the Greslish vibe, great player, but he’s 29, so at the end of his loan we’re not going to be buying him, even if city stump up half his wage , we’re still looking at £150k per week plus up to £10m loan fee. Have we learnt nothing over the past few years. Great player, better than what we have, but we’re not short in his area and I’d rather push the finances elsewhere, most notably a new right hand side.

Everton are very keen on Manchester City’s James McAtee, although the Midfielder has plenty of options both in England and Bundesliga clubs

I think that one or two additions may be this type of thing. Short term, Prem ready, old and experienced.

Not a fan myself. Never been that impressed and it's not like he's a teenager.

We simply can't be paying a 8-10m loan fee and 8m in wages for grealish. We need both a rebuild of the first team squad and the youth system (which moyes said recently) we can't be spending the best part of 20m borrowing a player who's best days may be behind him. The numbers have to make some sort of sense

You never want a player who feels like he's doing YOU a favour. It's absolute poison.
