McAtee would be a brilliant signing for us. Young, proven in this league, plays the #10 but versatile, he's creative (my perception, dunno about the stats) and energetic and used to pressing. I think we'd love him here.
I'd also love to see Grealish with the bit between his teeth pushing for a spot in the World Cup squad, but if McAtee is a permanent move, or loan with option to buy, that's the smarter move.
Can't see us going for both and a third attacker with pace. We need the pace. So hopefully McAtee or Grealish, and a pacey right winger. Of course we'll probably get neither of the City players.

£50M for a near 30 year old with 4 goal involvements last season.
Anyone who pays that is welcome to him.

We’re obviously not spending £50m on him so it’s not worth getting wound up over.

Yeah if we are even interested in the first place I’m gonna say it’s purely as a season long loan. Kind of a positive stop gap signing that avoids us splashing out an epic transfer fee but pushes us on next season to have us competing closer to the top end of the table
In reality we will probably not get him and just get a handful of the West Ham cast offs like Fabianski, Coufal and Antonio, renew Gana, Coleman and Keane and pick up the odd championship signing like Fellows and Hamer

It is pretty grim but feels accurate
Before the potential Keane, Coleman, Gana, DCL renewals we’ve only got a squad of 15 players I think. I’m gonna assume that the new recruits are gonna be a mixed bag of championship hopefuls, loans and experienced squad players that don’t excite the fans but hopefully a couple of gems in there as well ready to go straight into the starting line up

BTW it's Africa Cup of Nations from mid-Dec to mid-Jan, so we lose Gana and Ndiaye for a month...

If he is on 350 a week as reported and we have to cover a lot of that plus a loan fee it gets expensive then better options out there this has disaster written all over it

We're only a few posts from someone suggesting we bring Harrison back!

No way would Moyes sign Antonio, has turned down a shorter contract extension at reduced wages at West Ham, doubt he’ll get a Premier League club at all.
