On the contrary, facts are a novelty in the current climate.
Also there's a difference between speculating about a possibility and wasting time on a blatant falsehood.
It was just tongue in cheek, relax, we're all on the same page.

Should have given him a new contract last summer.
I have no doubt he was a bit fuming at the money we lashed out on Grealish whilst he was one of our lowest earners.
Who are these jokers running the club.

He’s turned down multiple contract offers, as per Boyland etc. Was happy to sign one but wanted a release clause of £50m, apparently.

Which effectively means that he wants to leave.
The kid is on 45K a week at Everton - that is almost half of what Keane is earning. As someone else said here - he should have got that new contract last year. Something is wrong when our best player is one of the lowest paid players. There is no downside for him to get a higher salary but still a clause that makes it possible for him to leave whenever he wants to.

If that's the case then I'd be pissed off too.

Maybe he's thinking more strategically. Goes Saudi, earns a fortune, kills it with his abilities for a season, then gets bought by a big club and gets his move to CL

Apparently the contract offers were rejected mid season.
It was deffo a story but the window was closed and he had years on his contract so it wasn’t much of a talking point.

Change “open to” to “actively trying to facilitate”.

As a club and as a fanbase we should stop thinking having years left on a contract means anything.
Four contracts rejected, and forcing a move to Saudi.
We’ll get decent money but £70m to spend whilst needing to replace your best player barely touches the sides.

Take the Saudi money and improve the squad. Really can’t be arsed with a month of posturing, only to see him go at the end of the window.
