I'm confident we will be clear like, just annoying we looked like we where on for a nice relaxing season then then points deduction occurred.

Yeah, definitely not feeling the "we'll be fine vibe" yet. Forest look like they are well into a new manager bounce, Sheff Utd and Burnley look fucked but Luton are putting up a good fight and hopefully it looks like Brentford are coming to the relegation battle party as well. I'm still on the "we'll be fine" side of things but I just can't be arsed with the uncertainty that the 10 point deduction has brought.

I think, if we don’t get some points back from the appeal, that we will go down.

Mason Mount definitely went to Man United, yeah?

Ranks up there as one of the most bizarre signings ever for me.

He's a good player in his own right but he was literally the polar opposite of what they actually needed in the middle in regards to his style.

Really poor buy.

We'd be on 26 points and sitting 12th after 19 games, on course for a 52 point season despite throwing away the first 4 games of the season not buying anyone and relying on Maupay and Dobbin to try get us goals.

We'll be fine regardless of the points deduction appeal.

That’s not a good result.

That would take a huge drop off in performances from the first half of the season.

We’ve lost three in a row and still find ourselves out the bottom three.

Honestly, it would take a lampard type run for us to get relegated this season, even with the deduction.

Some over reactions both here and the match day thread. We had a shite day, not looked at the fixtures for Feb. So not getting concerned yet we can suddenly flip this . If we lose in the cup and the 2 league games then I may get itchy.

I just think its not necessarily us dropping off horrendously, it is the teams below doing better. They all seem to have started picking up some points. Which is a worry.

https://thefishy.co.uk/formtable.php?table=1

Luton are the most in form of the promoted teams and sit 15th in the table.

They haven't really. Luton have been getting loads of praise for performances against Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea at home but they lost them all. Not to say they haven't picked up some decent points but their points tally is still poor.

Burnley have picked up but they're still miles off with 11 points from 20 matches.

It's easy to feel like that after today but currently Luton are the only ones that look like putting anything together, Sheffield Utd and Burnley are done. Brentford are now firmly into a terrible run of form and look like they're in a battle now, I'd just rather we can get out of it ourselves than rely on other teams.

I'll be honest, it's on us of course but I would feel better if a couple of the teams around started playing a bit shittier.

Brentford might get in the mix, but they also potentially have Toney back and that could easily be enough for them, so I consider them a bit of a wild card until we know more about that situation.

Fulham I think currently are just about in the mix, again would just appreciate them having putting in some turdy performances. Our game against them could be a pretty big one.

Same with Luton.

Forest have looked pretty decent under Nuno so far, new managers can make a big difference as we know and right now I'm not too confident with them.

I think the others are looking a bit better (Burnley and Sheffield Utd) but likely they won't get much more than 30 pts and if we can't get over that then we're likely cooked anyway.

It has grated on me in the media how many pundits because of our good run waved everything away as being alright for us, but clearly the points deduction is massive and runs of form like this were seemingly not being accounted for. If it got reversed, clearly we'd be ok but chances of that happening are probably not super high so it's going to be a grind until the end of the season again.

Man United must wish they'd just gone for Emery at some point. Easy to say now he's doing well at Villa like.

Not a massive surprise a guy whose experience is Eredivisie football has struggled in the role. Almost feels like they're too stubborn to sack him.
