Diouf was linked with Brighton last transfer window , 20m. Club wanted closer to 40m . Only signed from Tromso season before, like said we need to be scouting these players earlier.

We are just notorious slow , ok we may have our targets now but still think we like to save on salaries by le.aving it late. A few players signed last week on say 100k all adds up , wait 6 weeks is are motto. On the back of PSR too only makes sense to wait it out to reveal

Think this makes sense.

As long as we either see Patterson as the starter or are planning to sign a starter. This is solid as a back up.

Really think people are overlooking how finished and slow Coufal is these days. The alarming thing is he's not leaving the West Ham bench to sit on our bench, so if he came then he'd probably play every week.

Idea for a chant if we sign him

That recruitment setup does sound terrible but I’ll reserve judgment until it brings us the modern equivalent of the Yannick Bolasie and Ashley Williams signings.

Although the wild thing about that summer was it also brought us Gana, Calvert-Lewin, and Lookman, all deals for less than £10m.

Could’ve had a very different outcome if we had invested more early minutes in some of those more modestly priced signings.

There was no excuse for destroying Deulofeu’s Everton career for an older, overpriced Yannick Bolasie.

Might be completely wrong but I'll always blame koeman and his laziness for the mess. Think he just wanted a load of proven players without any thought of their value vs cost or how they'd fit together as a team
