Absolute madness if we don’t sign a right back
Calm down man! It’s only been a decade. Give it time…

Today seems to be a pretty quiet day doesn't it? Dom King already spoken to Moyes and said that he expects one signing would love to get two players in.
With Hector Forte from Barcelona going to another La Liga club and Patterson to Sevilla off means that we probably won't sign any right back. With no links to a left back we probably won't sign that either.
Moyes said to King that he is looking to sign a left-footed central defender - that may be Nathan Ake as he also has played left-back.
The worrying signing number two - in lack of being linked with anyone else is - Soucek. It looks like Moyes rate that guy highly.
My prediction - we sign Nathan Ake on loan (as he is on a 150K p/w at City) and maybe Soucek on a transfer.
Lets hope Everton could surprise us all with something more exciting than that.

We all hoping the "one signing" Moyes is talking about is actually a cash purchase and he's not talking about loans

Still looks like our entire right back list contained one name and we didn’t get him and they have just shrugged and gone we tried.
If we’re loaning out Patterson though, just relying on O’Brien & Coleman is a big risk.

I think the injury to Branthwaite makes Moyes put attention to the Centerback role - maybe even more so after the game against Wolves where we let in two EXTREMELY soft goals. Nathan Ake makes a lot of sense. He can fill that role but with Branthwaite back he can use Ake to compete with Mykolenko. I guess Moyes are more afraid of Aznou at the left than Patterson filling in the right back role and with some minutes still in Coleman this is maybe just how Moyes is evaluating his options.

Bit weird that Indy Kaila has become a top tier source - good article on that the other day

Can’t loan Ake as we already have Grealish from them.

This is a kind of a Brighton signing isn't it? Young with potential and lots of apperances for national youth team. Would rather have this guy than Soucek. Reports about him being pretty pacey and he adds that height to him that Moyes always love.

That's true - probably makes that signing much harder then or do you think Everton would accept to give him a salary of up to 150K a week? Pickford being the highest earner at the club with 125K a week (except Grealish which is reportedly on 225K)
