I'm so not used to having a squad, i cant wrap my mind around it.
Tim.

I agree it feels very weird to have good players who might not be starting games and options to bring in when players are injured or away at AFCON.

We spent £35m + add ons for an attacking player will apparently enormous potential and he didn't even get on the pitch against Wolves.

It's great but not something I can really wrap my head around either, we've at best had a starting eleven and zero depth, now we've got multiple players who can rotate in and out with much if any drop in quality.

Happy days!

Nah, it'll be O'Brien at RB.

Rohl will be cover for the two CM positions.

yeah I was thinking that myself. I think if we want to play Dibling he'll need to go right. That moves Jack or Ili center and the other plays left. Which then forces KDH back to Garner's spot and thus Garner to RB. Merlin only as a sub.

Our starting 11 when everyone is fit will be

Pickford
JOB Tark Branners Myko
Gana Garner
Ndiaye KDH Grealish
Beto/Barry

Players like Rohl, Dibling, Tim, Aznou etc will be rotation players who come into the team as and when it's necessary.

Id like a right back or, if Rohl is up to speed, id rather Garner at RB than JOB

Also, not a fan of "branners" !!

I’ll be made up if we pull this off. Excellent profile signing despite seeing him play only once and his YouTube bits

I would like a right back, but I think unless we get a really, really good one (which is highly unlikely at this stage) JOB's staying there and Garner can provide cover.

I know JOB has had the odd dodgy game there, but for the vast majority of his time playing RB he's been excellent. I also think Moyes loves having a third CB in there for set pieces and height at defending crosses.

Barry, Rohl, Dibling, Aznoum and Iroegbunam is a young bench with a massive ceiling.
Throw in Kene and possible Ake and a keeper and it's possibly the best built squad we've had. Ever?

Ok, the full-back situation is a weak point. But considering how terrible the team looked (never mind the squad) when all those contracts expired at the start of the summer - it's remarkable.

Yeah i agree
Watching the game Saturday you realise tho how much JOB is a fish in a tree at full back
He has done well, he will continue to do so, would just love a natural right back

We all knew we couldnt fix everything in one window.

It's just that we thought right back would be the one we fixed first - not the only one we didnt fix

Was almost the first position we addressed too.

Really makes you wonder what went on behind the scenes that no other options were pursued.

I don’t think Moyes is willing to sacrifice defensive solidity. The likes of Lamptey, Van Ewijk, etc. might just be a bit too attacking and not defensive enough for him. Tete looked very solid off the ball while still decent in attack. Apparently, we haven’t found that profile anywhere else (at least for a price we can afford).

Strange to spend 40million on a player to be sat on the bench. If you're not Chelski that is.

Not really. He's 19. There'll be plenty of opportunities for him, but he's not coming in with the entire club pinning their hopes on him, like would've been the case in the past.
