The top six from last season and Palace, Bournemouth and Spurs i'd expect to finish above us. Utd will still be bottom half, going through a purple patch.
We're better than the rest.

We are a proper full on mid table team this year. No chance of getting relegated, will beat our fair share of sides and play decent football. But we also won’t be doing anything spectacular. I reckon 10th-11th looks nailed on.
But that’s no shame as the league gets stronger each year. Happy to have a consolidation season and just enjoy football again after the dreadful last few years.

We need a striker in January or we will finish mid-bottom half of the table, 12th - 15th. We simply aren’t scoring enough goals to give ourselves any chance of winning the number of games we should be.
Too easy to play against vs top 6-8 teams, we will squeeze through in some games we don’t deserve to win vs mid table teams (Brighton and Palace games evidence of this) and hopefully we will have a decent level of success against those likely to fight relegation (Leeds away an exception).
I fancy a draw against this spurs team but If we had strikers who knew where the fucking goal was I would be more optimistic about a win, they aren’t all that.

Beto is the third best striker in the league for XG so yeah our lack of a reliable finisher is killing us.
Shame for beto, always thought he was at least decent infront of goal.
Seems like we either get horrific general play with a goal, or good general play and bad misses.

Saw Ivan Toney linked by Toffeeweb I think it was, didn't click the link to find out more though as most likely total bollocks.
Would be amazing but can't see it happening.

Thought spurs were very poor against villa especially at home….there seemed to be no cohesion between the thirds of the field….poor in transition and let villa creep back into the game to eventually nick it….hope they play the same this weekend…
Can’t see Beto getting the better of Van deer Ven though….

We are beating these I reckon. Richarlison sees it comes back in Jan and somehow in 2026 is our best striker.

Hard to say what we are this year. It feels like a mixed bag so far, some really positive stuff but also we could've/should've easily lost to Palace with how we played for a lot of it and there were comments then about us making a poor start to the season. We are working out what the best team is still it seems. I'm holding onto some hope that we figure out the midfield a bit better, if Rohl can stay fit (decent if) and add another more central progressive option and we give the strikers a bit more to work with.
If you look to the teams above us, barring Sunderland I don't think any neutral would have us ahead of any those teams based on recent history. I imagine most would say all those teams also overall have more balanced squads than us too. Of the teams below, Newcastle are the odd ones out and will likely move higher over time. Nottingham Forest have spent a lot and Dyche is generally competent so I assume they too will move away from the bottom 3.
Can't ignore that the points totals this year will probably be a bit higher than previous years especially if we're thinking for example Leeds might be a candidate for the drop and who after this weekend if they beat West Ham at home be sitting on 11pts too.
I think you'd be doing well to call the bottom 3 this season as the standard in the bottom half has got higher, it couldn't really get much worse mind you. Feels like there could be a lot of teams in the mix.
Looking at the table, 12th looks around about our ceiling unless things really click and we add well in January.

Can’t understand the brap here watched spurs last night against a poor Monaco team they were so lucky to get a draw they have so many similar players tel odobert Johnson the guy they got from leipzig and no proper striker loads of pace and no finish they will struggle to crack the top 7/8 imo

Quite a lot of their fans aren’t happy with Frank already.

They're a bit of a bogey team of ours so I never expect too much from this fixture, we've beaten them about 10 times in the last 30 years.

Yeah. Great, an hour extra in bed. Shite, it'll be dark by 5.30pm.

First moody Sunday at the new ground.
I think being around the stadium in the dark won’t be the greatest experience as it is really bleak around there.
Much better when the sun is shining.
