Surprising decisions from Southgate but has decided to actually pick players on form apparently.
Looking at some of the rumours of players in the squad then Branthwaite could end up in final 26 here.

Goalkeepers: Dean Henderson, Jordan Pickford, Aaron Ramsdale, James Trafford.
Defenders: Jarrad Branthwaite, Lewis Dunk, Joe Gomez, Marc Guéhi, Ezri Konsa, Harry Maguire, Jarell Quansah, Luke Shaw, John Stones, Kieran Trippier, Kyle Walker.
Midfielders: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Conor Gallagher, Curtis Jones, Kobbie Mainoo, Declan Rice, Adam Wharton.
Forwards: Jude Bellingham, Jarrod Bowen, Eberechi Eze, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Anthony Gordon, Harry Kane, James Maddison, Cole Palmer, Bukayo Saka, Ivan Toney, Ollie Watkins.
So 7 of these won't be going.

I don’t want to see Pep Southgate playing two centre backs at full back and a full back in midfield

Overall I like the squad, but I do find it extremely worrying he's taking only one LB and that's Shaw who's been injured.
Trippier can play there but it's not ideal and more worryingly he's been a bit shit this season.
Feels like he's taken a gamble there, but maybe he's looking at Branthwaite as an emergency LB if required which may give Jarrod more chance of making the final squad.
Think we've got a great attacking set of players on there but you can see where our deficiencies lie and why we might struggle against the very best teams.

Think he will take Joe Gomez over Jarrad as he can cover LB too.
Similar to the Ben Godfrey call up , think he will miss out
Not sure how Dunk gets in , has he not watched Brighton this season. rather have Eric Dier who Southgate tells us was playing well, even Tarks has been more reliable than Dunk.

i cant get excired about the euros
we have one of the best teams with some of the worlds best players - kane bellingham foden add cole palmer in there too lol!
we have a great team but one of the worst managers
it takes a bit more than a happy dressing room to win trophies gareth............TACTICS
he is too defensive and does not react quick enough
