Like the Thomas Frank shout.
Think the fans would get behind his football.

Iraola's quite an impressive young manager as well. The pressing and intensity of his teams would be well suited to us.

Probably Potter because I think he's an extremely intelligent coach who's come up the hard way and has a really pleasing football style. Doesn't seem like one of the 'plays nice footy but is actually a total fraud' types that we might up with if we took a punt on someone from a different league.
I also don't know many managers outside the Premier League to really have an opinion on those managing elsewhere.
Potter is also out of contract and I can't see us paying someone like a Brentford compensation for their manager.
I think our recruitment team is almost as important as our next manager though, whoever walks through the door has an unenviable task of replacing half the team and possibly some of those transfers coming late in the window as we hold on to Branthwaite as long as possible to increase his fee.
Needs to be some very joined up thinking going on for his not to blow up in our faces.

I don’t understand the notion people have that a more progressive manager makes us worse and gives us a better change of relegation?

Appointing a good progressive manager definitely wouldn't... I don't think anyone thinks hiring a genuinely competent progressive manager would be anything but a positive.

Hiring a different type of manager with this squad is a risk. I was joking about hiring dyche every time though.... I voted for Thomas Frank. There is a big risk there though. We finished above them last season and our squad isn't anything like there's. Plus would he want to come here and would we pay Brentford for him anyway

Potter would be a good fit for us although Frank the more interesting choice. Carsley would get a bit of time but that would be a punt. Have a horrible feeling we'll get Southgate

I’ve gone for Frank. As with others I’m between Frank and Potter. I just feel Frank edges it as I’d enjoy his post-match interviews more.

I do like the idea of not paying compo for either the outgoing manager or the incoming manager. Would make a refreshing change.
Usually it’s one or the other, or both!

How is Thomas Frank a huge risk?
His record suggests he’s a solid shout.
He also plays similar football to dyche, albeit a more aggressive style.
He would be my shout but I don’t see how him or litter represent a massive risk when you look at their record managing teams near the bottom of the league.

It's a hard gig for any new manager to walk into though.
Only 13 players under contract going into next year. A lot of work there, might put a few managers off.

Get Davide Ancelloti in, and pull in some favours

Does he. When I watch Brentford they always seem to be an attacking team with lots of pace. I don't watch them much though... it's a risk because they actually did worse than us last season
