He was in great form though, was never going to keep that run going and we're not winning the ball high up the pitch with our press anymore to help spring counter attack where he does his best work.

He has been crap lately though.

If he's not scoring or providing a big goal threat at least, he offers next to nothing in any other aspect of the game.

Looks like a passenger at the moment. Completely lost and can’t manage a 5 yard pass.

Stop playing him as a striker

He does seem to be higher up the pitch recently. Negates the whole arriving in the box late thing which is his strength.

I honestly think that was one of Dyches attempts to score more - just get Doucoure as a second striker vs midfielder and it will help the attack. One of many things that has made me realise that Dyche is no long term option.

Doucoure high up isn't an issue if we're pressing high and with energy. It's a perfectly valid tactic imo.

Issue is that for whatever reason we didn't do that against Bournemouth which made him being up there completely pointless.

He's been a bit of a non-entity for months unfortunately.

He's emblematic of what we are doing wrong. Caviar wages, beans on toast performance.

Don't worry mates, I'll stop predicting goals by Dukie in the prediction league. He'll be sure to bag then.

He's another with just such a narrow skill set. No remotely decent team would play with a midfielder who's such a poor passer. We've spent so much money on players we knew couldn't do half the basics of their positions.

Defenders who can't head the ball or read a game. Full backs with no attacking output. Midfielders who can't pass/tackle get round the pitch or even want the ball. Wingers without creativity or pace. Strikers without pace or mainly who can't finish

You could probably fit most into systems that hide their faults but you can't have loads of them in the same team.

He’s fine.

Just come back into a team that’s collapsed which happens every time this fella gets injured.

I’d drop him back now for garner and put McNeil number ten.

People were saying he was shite when Lampard occasionally played him but played him out of position. Dyche comes in, plays him in his most effective role and the consensus was that he was our most important player.

Now, during Ramadan and fresh from injury, with what seems to a slightly different role in the team and he's beans on toast.

There's more than two ends of a spectrum.
