I suppose we're not doing the thing that really fucked us up and nearly ruined the club - spending way over the odds on mediocre players.
It's just that... well we need players. Risky business this, and we're already throwing away points.

Should have got battered shouldn't we?
Missed a pen, missed a sitter, hit the bar, hit the post, keeper makes a couple of big saves, conceded more than 2 xg again?
A result like that doesn't make me feel any better about the season and I can't quite understand why it should, even if I did enjoy it very much. Wind blows a different direction and it's absolute panic stations on here today.

I thought the same after the match, and what you're saying is valid.
However, Myko back and Garner or a 6 in that midfield, and we look much more solid.
Moyes knows how to sort out a defence, so we should see that improve, plus the attacking side is looking better.

You're right in what you are saying but that's football isn't it especially at our level, you win some you lose some.

You’d hope Mitoma hitting the bar wouldn’t have counted had it gone in as he handled the ball as he brought it down (not shown on any highlights I watched). But yeah we gave too many chances away 1st half

Branthwaite helps there too

Then there's the controversial penalty and another big xG chance came from a Tarkowski howler.
Miracle that we kept the clean sheet but think I'd have been more concerned if we were getting continuously cut open which wasn't the case.

I agree with it all, apart from the cut open bit.
It always feels like we are fairly easy to play through.

Volley down the middle? Below the bar and Pickford saves all day.

Need to sort a RB and DM. Even a stop-gap loan.
JOB can play at RB and works hard to get up the line but he's no RB, that is clear.
Need to keep Iroegbunam off the team sheet as much as possible. I know he has his moments but you need someone willing to sit beside Gana or there are too many gaps. Garner can do it but we need another body for when we've got injuries.

Indeed, although we might not see him starting again until October. Need to tighten up the defence in the meantime.
