I still maintain that game for Brentford against Chelsea where he had an open goal and ran the length of the pitch only to he caught up by the goalkeeper is one of the most pathetic attempts at anything I think I have ever seen on a football pitch. It only ended up in the back of the net because the keepers tackle propelled it forwards.

Hughes, Ginola, Gazza... It's like some Mandela effect, although I do actually know they played for us, during a time of my life I can remember, but can't remember a single game they played for us.

Reading those names and picturing them plodding about goodison for us, only ten/fifteen years after we were kings...fucking hell honestly.
