yeah he is staying at city now , no way they risk him getting injured before moving him on

Personally I don't think him coming on has any relevance on whether he stays. City are getting smashed and there's no point risking Doku for longer in a friendly, if we offer what they want he's off.

Good, I'd rather see Dibling, George and Johnson get the minutes. Helps develop them, or in Johnson's case allows him the opportunity to get back to his best.

It also stops Moyes' tactics of just given it jack and hope he creates something out of nothing.

We have pace, trickery and players looking far more able in preseason than last year... We don't need to limit their minutes, and spend £15m on someone that stops them from playing.

Got to be a balance though, the young player development ideology thing is great but need to mix it with experience too

Use the money where we need it most (RB & LB)

Don’t know if he’s coming but we’ve literally played every player we’re seemingly trying to shift this summer (McNeil, Patterson, Alcaraz, etc). I don’t think it means anything, in fact it can sometimes be the opposite and it’s an attempt to put them in the shop window.

If we’re serious about playing George and Dibling though (and with Johnson now here) it seems like minus Ndiaye leaving he’d not be coming as someone would need to make way.

Ndaiye and Johnson have plenty of experience though 🤷

If N’Diaye is still here. I wouldn’t exactly hold Johnson up as an experienced pro either. He’s a speed merchant who’s still only 25 over someone who will make the better choice the majority of the time. Not every signing has to be a young player to develop. We’ve sign George, Rohl, Hackney this summer so we’re doing it right but getting Munoz and Grealish in isn’t bad business alongside the younger ones

Don’t think him coming on means anything.

Although, I do think a manager like Maresca will really like what he offers so can see him staying.

Not bothered either way though.

He's still got no squad number, so I can't see him staying at CIteh - they would have sorted that out long ago if it were the case.
