Doughty should be ashamed of himself with a couple of those offsides.

That's a tough call either way for me.

Been waiting for Trafford to get under one of those all night. Was awful coming for crosses against us the other week.

Unbelievable.
Remember the goal they disallowed for us earlier this season against Fulham? That was less of a foul than this one.
Jesus.

I’d have gone with on-field decision but a genuine 50/50 that could’ve gone either way.

Ideal result here though.

VAR is a joke. 100% foul on the keeper. The league is really broken.

Player impedes keeper but the keeper tried to run through the player - the attacker can’t make himself disappear and isn’t obliged to get out the way.
Once again, the PL want the drama and they don’t want teams to get cut adrift. Suits them. Was convinced the goal was gonna stand.

The forward looks at him and barges into the keeper rather than going for the ball though, no?

Tin hat time!
Surely if they didn’t want teams cut adrift they’d have disallowed it so Burnley got the points

Forgot this was even on. Not a bad result I guess, but wow VAR just lurch from one over correction to another. I suspect this was an overcorrection to the DCL challenge where VAR was accused re-refereeing the game basically so they let this one go. Likely we'll see more of it this weekend until the next outcry.
100% foul on the keeper for me though, the attacker knew what he was doing there and made no attempt to play the ball he was just trying to obstruct/push the keeper. The keeper wasn't strong, but it's got to be a foul when the player isn't attempting to make a challenge on the ball but was still moving toward the keeper.
As mentioned it was far more of a foul than the Tarks one in our game against Fulham because in that he just stood there and was actually not attempting to go into the keeper rather the keeper went into him as I recall.
