Bet he plays out wide for us more than he does as a CM
Nah, think you're way off on this and everything else you've posted about this signing. We've bought him to play as a central midfielder and that's where he'll play.

Need another 5 at least - RB, RW, LW, CM, and a real 4th choice CB.

He’s 27 in a few weeks and has just 72 premier league games to his name.
He essentially has just two seasons playing in the premier league.
I think we need to just cool it down a bit.
I’ve seen shouts of him becoming our long term captain ffs.
We did this exact thing with James garner. Something about hard working British midfielders that sends us into a frenzy.
He’ll be good, but still has a lot to prove.

Can we shoehorn his name into a song to the tune of Strawberry Fields Forever?
Dewsbury-Hall forever

Genuine question Brap and I’m not meaning it in an aggressive way - do you actually understand football statistics and analytics?
I know you post a lot but it seems like your opinion can flip based on one random stat if the right hipster account posts it

Following an account on Twitter that applies Bayesian probabilities to football statistics is so on-brand for you

Nope blind trust based on vibes.
Genuine answer - the guy above I have seen posting for years but I have absolutely NO IDEA what his ratings are based on or if they had any credence.
I just thought it was a funny post.

Yeah people don’t need to go overboard, but I do also feel that people who have used words like ‘unspectacular’ and ‘underwhelming’ will realise they were way off by the end of the season.

He’s got enough about him besides the work rate and professionalism.
Successful carries and progressive passes look good over multiple seasons. Was outstanding in front of goal in the Championship and Conference League, which is promising despite the admittedly lower level. He’s not the best defensively but he puts the effort in and is not as lightweight as you might think despite his lack of size.
I look at him as Doucoure if you traded size, strength, and aerial ability for better passing, dribbling, and decision-making.
It’s not a slam dunk, his track record isn’t that impressive for his age. To me, he’s just a rare late bloomer. Don’t see him as a game changer by any means, but I think he’ll be a solid, versatile option in the middle of the park and ultimately live up to his fee like Doucoure before him.
