Bit hypocritical if Leicester try anything, they paid a £3m fine in 2018 after losing £20m rather than the permitted £8m in the Championship and got promoted to the PL off the back of it.

I don't think that's clear yet, but given the immediate application it'd surely have to be within this season.
I guess it would have to be this season yes as it wouldn't effect anything next season.

Still majorly harsh this.

It will be an eternity until Chelsea or City get punished, if they even do.

Only Burnley have even a semblance of a case. Leeds and leicester got relegated outside of this assessment period. And even if they weren’t only leicester wouldn’t have got relegated so Leeds have no basis for compensation from anyone.

Burnley are almost nailed on to get relegated as it stands, will they really want to be wasting valuable funds chasing a 50/50 case.

Don't Leicester have their own issues? So they sue us and then what we sue them?

Really where do you stop though? Do Man City get a deduction, lose all their trophies...all the other also rans get to sue for loss of earnings? Loss of place in the CL? Do we sue Chelsea for beating us in the FA Cup when they were spending too much?

I think they’ve set a precedent for themselves and have opened a can of worms they’ll regret opening. I don’t think we should appeal only because Once they try to take on the wealth of city and chelsea they’re gonna regret even introducing ffp or whatever they want to call it as if their “punishment” doesn’t reflect the crime it opens a case for efc to sue them for all sorts of legal breaches.
The last can of worms they opened was closed again very quickly after Omar was suspended....F... The PL

I am civil litigator (albeit in the USA), and I have doubts over the validity of these claims. I’d wait until you see a rigorous analysis from a legitimate barrister/solicitor before getting too concerned about lawsuits.

You’re right, our neighbours would immediately claim to have won the Prem when City did etc. …thing is, nailed on, neither City nor Chelsea will be found guilty of anything.

Reporter on BBC 6 o'clock news said clubs have 28 days to submit any "claim" to the panel.

I kind of get why they would, but isn't their beef with the PL ?

Given the complexities of these things and the right to appeal, for a club to be charged and found guilty within same season doesn’t seem a realistic timeframe.

Think it was Simon Jordan who said something along the lines of other clubs were unlikely to be able to sue us as they agree to abide by PL rules, so if the PL decide to punish us that’s it - or at worst they sue the PL for not doing their jobs properly

I'm certainly not a lawyer but really don't think them suing makes any real sense. It's not our fault it wasn't delt with quicker. We get whatever punishment we were due.
Burnley have the best claim given that relegation was in the right period but they benefit this season from the points deduction we didn't get then. They might stay up instead of us this season because of it

Feel proper stressed about all this now. Same level of constant worry as I've had these last few years of being awful

Also I think we also have to remember the inept bunch of cunts who led us here. That spend, ffp problems and while almost relegating us

Hope moshiri loses 100s and 100s of millions on this. Hope kenwright gets the legacy he deserves rather than a fucking stand named after him. Hope sharp is never welcomed back for tying to legitimase these cunts. Oh and I hope someone pops baxendales head clean off with a firm headlock. Inept bunch of absolute self serving cunts

Trying to be objective here - where is the actual evidence, rather than opinion, that we are being treated unfairly?

One might suggest that Portsmouth who drove the club into administration only got a 9point deduction.

Was maybe with you up to the point that you suggest that Baxendales head be snapped clean off in a headlock, really ?
