Has to be up there for best player we've had in the last 20 years right?

Fantastic technique on the assist today.

I’d go with that, said few years back that he can play on for as long as he likes, natural athlete. One of the first names on my team sheet.

Yeah he's got 2 more years at least left in him.

Never expected him to be at this level still when we resigned him.

Yeah, he’s right up there with the likes of Baines, Arteta, pienaar, as the best player we’ve ever had in the premier league.

May well be the best you know. He’s doing this at 35.

Just gives its everything he has game after game, is hardly injured, and now has quality on the ball to go with the elite ball winning stuff.

We won’t see a player like him for a long time unfortunately.

What would we have been like had he never left.

Yeah he's got to be in the conversation, would put him alongside Baines in the very least.

You can see he is enjoying his football, love that he wanted to come back.

Hope to see him move into a backroom role in a couple of years. I can see him snapping at players heels in a game of 2 touch, with a handfull of bibs and cones..retired but setting the standards.

Can’t be arsed to check if he really said this, pulled off a wack fb fansite:

🗣 Idrissa Gana Gueye: "I would love to continue at this place I call home, but that’s not only my decision to make.

I am very happy to be here at Everton again, to help and to work hard. I’ll give my soul to this team.

Coming back here was important to me because I feel like I’m in my home. I’ve followed the team every week and watched how they play. For me, there is no better place than Everton, so that’s why I chose to come back here."

Would you offer him another year? Personally I would. 🔵

Plays like he's 25. Sure that won't last forever but hard to see him falling off anytime soon.

I'd be livid if we don't.

Got to be worth 12 months with an option for a second year at least

Him and Pickford are first names on the team sheet for me, said it two years ago that he can carry on for years yet, he’s naturally fit and has looked after himself.
