If TFG do go down this route I think it could be catastrophic. I will always want Everton to win, and the Everton manager to do well, and give my support, but there are levels to that, and the level would be loads lower than it would for a manager that hadn't shat on us before.
It's not as extreme as Benitez, but loads of people couldn't wait for him to fail, just to get him out, and I think there will be a similar sentiment towards Moyes, from more of a minority I'm sure, but it will be there, and I'm not sure it's the best appointment given the predicament were in.

To be fully Murrikan, it has to be:

Moyes, Head Coach (who also calls plays on defense)
Carsley, Associate Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator

I know everyone hates jobs for the boys but wouldn't at all be against Moyes with Coleman as his number 2.

People criticise moyes. He was better than many that replaced him.and has won a trophy. Who was the last manager to do that for us?

I don't find Lee Carsley offensive. He tends to come across quite mild mannered when I've seen him interviewed

Moyes with a well-considered successor like Carsley makes a ton of sense to me.

Moyes has the experience of managing clubs effectively over long periods of time (obviously here but I consider anything over 3 years a long time in today’s game). Carsley’s had some interesting jobs and shown that he might have a bit more about him in terms of possession football (albeit with an England U21 group that has far better technical players than we currently do). What better way for him to bridge the gap into proper club management than by assisting someone who’s done it well?

The squad is also set up for Moyes. Strong center back pairing (even if Tarkowksi can be a bit of a wildcard), the Gana-Mangala double pivot, attacking midfielders who can take care of the ball in the wide areas and in the half spaces (Ndiaye, McNeil). Missing a proper attacking left back but Moyes has run imbalanced formations before (like with Hibbert at RB and Baines at LB). DCL is as effective any target man he ever had while he was in charge here. We have a bunch of contenders for that role behind the striker where he can accommodate a utility man or someone who’s more of an out-and-out goal scorer like he’s used at West Ham (might need a clever loan or buy low to find this player, mind you).

Don’t mind this idea at all. I understand why some are repulsed, it’s not very exciting, but we really just need a few ideas about how to make chances to be a midtable side. Moyes tends to have a few of those and they aren’t terribly complicated. This isn’t a ground-up rebuild where we have to learn how to stay organized and defend first. We don’t need a lot to escape our current position.

We desperately need some creative players. Some pace, some passing ability and someone who can put the ball in the net.

Only Southampton IMO have less of a threat than us. TFG cant let that still be the case when this window shuts or whoever the manager is we might still be fucked.

Dyche going is the first step, because his record of managing and coaching a team to score goals from open play is shocking. Now give us a player or two.

I can only see one or two players max so only some of those needs will be addressed.

If Broja’s injury is as bad as it looks then it might be a blessing in disguise to open a loan slot for another Chelsea player - someone like Guiu, Chukwuemeka, Washington or even Mudryk

Think Mudryk is on the ketamine.

Carsley ain't leaving the under 21s to be an assistant here, and I doubt Moyes would happily train up his successor either. Not sure why people think this is a feasible option.
