I was at the game. Sitting there before the game and reading about the Friedkin deal collapsing and then two nil down at half time wasn’t a great start to the season.
It’s worth saying that Sligo have an Irish cup game on Sunday afternoon and this was a second string/ under 23 Sligo team. In that context it wasn’t a great showing at all.
We did our usual trick of spurning 5 or 6 guilt edge chances.
Chermiti and Harrison were good in the second half. Gana and Duke head and shoulders above anything on the field in the first. Huge gulf in standard between our starting 11 and the young lads. Onyango isn’t a centre back. Iroegbunam has a nice touch and turn and looks to move it forward which will be a help in this team. Ndiaye gives us something different.
Thank goodness for the 2 late goals.

Beto doesn't score either of those Chermiti goals btw.

Thought that Dixon looked decent. Obviously got to take the opposition into account.

Did he play Ndiaye on the wing? Haha.

Sad to hear Beto still has his steel toe caps CAT boots on.

We had no left side in the second half young at full back constantly checking back onto his right and Ndiaye cutting in as well but you can see a real player in there on the wing in a 4-4-2 isn’t the best for him though

Chermiti will get the golden boot and we’ll win the league

Oh, so it wasn’t the old 4411, then?

Some over-reacting here lads. To the football that is. The farce of the badge falling off is just another slash in the death by a thousand cuts Moshiri is delivering. Embarrassing.

Don’t we normally have better seasons after shit pre-seasons and vice-versa?

Nothing to see here.

What is this “better season” you speak of? 🤔

The reactions and seriousness of a pre season game always amuse me.
