Felt this was coming weeks ago - every time an article would mention ‘hurdles’ or ‘obstacles’ in due diligence. I’ve heard of up shit creek without a paddle but we don’t even have a canoe

Given Friedkin has lent us money now though it's not in their interests for us to go into admin as they'd potentially lose that. But A-Cap know this, so the threat of admin to them is weakened as Friedkin won't want to let that happen, so aren't selling their debt cheap?

I think this makes any sort of deal at all unlikely.

Hard to know the exact issue with the 777 debt but I do suspect it's not something that can be easily resolved or quickly.

Moshiri is a clown.

Club is worth zero maybe significantly less than that given the level of bad debt to shaddy borrowers.

Think something would have to change for any sort of deal to happen. Maybe moshiri taking zero, maybe administration, maybe another year or 2 of current ownership getting us on a better footing (which seems unlikely given they are inept)

What an absolute mess. I blame kenwright for the whole fucking thing
.

I kind of assumed all debts would be paid off with the purchase, but that's on me thinking everything would be okay now.

Sounds like it's uncertainty over 777's future and all the legal stuff going on in America. Seems like there was no quick resolution to it and it could drag on for a while, I'd guess it may also mean that if they were to fold the debt maybe become payable immediately and Friedkin didn't want exposed to that risk.

I can only think that due to the on-going lawsuit with A-Cap, paying off the debt is complicated or not possible immediately.

There would be ways around that but I also wonder if Friedkin is hoping to get a discount on that debt given the current situation with 777 and A-Cap.

Might need Moshiri to re-negotiate the 777 debt and repayment. Get things re-structured and go back to Friedkin whereby he doesn't need to inject the same level of equity.

Again, I think this could take awhile to sort out with an ongoing lawsuit in the mix.
